Art Meets Shopping in Downtown Pleasanton

Merchants will have extended hours for the monthly 3rd Thursday Art Walk on Dec. 16.

 

In conjunction with the Third Thursdays Art Walk this week, many downtown Pleasanton merchants will be staying open until 9 p.m.

The Art Walk event, which has taken place on the third Thursday of each month since October, is a collaborative effort bringing together local downtown merchants, arts groups, and area artists in an effort to continue adding interesting and lively events to downtown Pleasanton. 

The Art Walk starts from 6 p.m. and lasts until 9 p.m.

"In an effort to support local businesses, Pleasanton resident John Trefethen facilitates the 3rd Thursday Merchants Art Walk," said Alisha Perdue, events  and communications coordinator for the Pleasanton Downtown Association. 

According to Prudue the event, supported by the PDA, is designed to bring foot traffic to downtown.

"Shopping downtown does not merely support local businesses, but allows shoppers to find unique gifts and services not readily available in big box stores," she said.
