Memorial Day Weekend Police and Fire Log: May 28 to May 31

This weeks' blotter is a summary of notable incidents during the Memorial Day weekend.

During the long weekend, thefts and alcohol-related incidents were reported to the Pleasanton Police Department.

The Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department answered a number of collision and fire calls.

May 28

  • Stolen vehicle reported, 600 block of Concord Place, the vehicle was described as a gold Chrysler PT Cruiser
  • A tree on fire was reported on Foothill Road and W. Las Positas Boulevard The fire was not near any structures and did not cause damage to power lines. 
  • A traffic collision was reported on Valley Avenue and Bernal Avenue at 10:46 p.m.
  • A traffic collision occurred on the I-680 by Sunol Boulevard. A vehicle rolled over three times in a field area. Another vehicle ended up in the center divide

May 29

  • Theft, 1500 block of Stoneridge Mall Road
  • Alcohol-related arrest 1:12 a.m
  • Theft, 600 block of Palomino Drive, 1:12 p.m.
  • Alcohol-related arrest, Kola Center Parkway and Valley Avenue, 11:43 p.m.
  • A traffic collision was reported on I-580 eastbound by Foothill Road
  • A traffic collision was reported on I-580 westbound by Hopyard Road
  • A structure fire was reported on the 3300 block of Arbor Drive. A gas heater to the hot tub was on fire and flames were seen. The structure was not damaged and all residents got out of the residence
  • A traffic collision was reported on Valley Avenue and Santa Rita Road. The collision involved a vehicle and a bicyclist. There was a report of a knee injury
  • A vehicle fire was reported on Santa Rita Road and W. Las Positas Boulevard. A passerby saw smoke coming out of a vehicle
  • A traffic collision was reported on the I-680 southbound and E. Vallecitos Road. A single vehicle ended up on the center divide and there was fuel leakage reported

May 30

  • Alcohol-related arrest, Santa Rita Road and W. Las Positas Boulevard, 1:36 a.m.
  • Theft, 4300 Valley Avenue, 1:56 p.m.
  • A traffic collision was reported on the I-580 westbound and Hopyard Road. The collision involved two vehicles and there was a head and neck injury reported
  • A structure fire was reported on the 3600 block of Andrews Drive. A heated stove triggered sprinklers in the residence though no smoke or flames were seen

May 31

  • Property damage, 3000 block of Bernal Avenue, 9:03 a.m.
  • Theft, 4900 block of Monaco Drive, 6:29 p.m.
  • A traffic collision was reported  on Pimlico Drive and Kirkcaldy Street. The collision involved one vehicle crashing into a pole
  • A traffic collision was reported on Vineyard Avenue and First Street. The collision involved one vehicle and a pole. There was a nose injury reported.
