"Mr. Kitty" has been missing since 10 a.m. Wednesday and was last seen in the Laguna Vista area in Pleasanton.

He does answer to his name, says his owner Gina lambeth.

He is very skittish, but incredibly sweet, she says.

"He is probably very scared, as he is an inside kitty only, and is likely to run away if you try to catch him."

She said she has hiked the ridges looking for him around her home, at Foothill and Bernal roads by the foothills, and thinks he might be there hiding under a bush, but he could also be further away.

"He is very important to us, and we ask that if you have seen him, please call us."

He is microchipped but doesn't wear a collar.
