Police and Fire Logs: Vehicles, Car Parts Swiped

A list of notable incidents from Nov. 7 to Nov. 14.

Last week, vehicles were the target of several thefts that hit two cars and a trailer loaded with tools. 

Another theft on Thursday struck a car parked at Denny’s, where the owner found that the vehicle’s catalytic converter, worth more than $1,000, was stolen. 

The responded to several traffic collisions throughout the week that involving pedestrians and bicyclists.

Also, the Pleasanton Police Officers Association is seeking participation in its Annual Giving Tree Program. Monday, Nov. 7

  • A 35-year-old man and 24-year-old man were arrested at 2:45 a.m. on suspicion of public intoxication.
  • Vandalism was reported on the 7300 block of Johnson Drive at 11:11 a.m.
  • Vandalism was reported on the 5000 block of Hopyard Road at 3:06 p.m.

Tuesday, Nov. 8

  • A traffic collision involving a bicyclist was reported at the intersection of Valley Avenue and Hansen Drive at 7:55 a.m.
  • Smoke was reported coming from a building on the 7000 block of Koll Center Parkway at 1:02 p.m.  The source was identified as a malfunctioning vent motor on the building’s roof.
  • A traffic collision was reported on the 7200 block of Johnson Drive at 3:20 p.m.
  • A traffic collision was reported on I-580 eastbound near Hopyard Road at 5:48 p.m.
  • A 36-year-old man was arrested at 6:18 p.m. on suspicion of receiving stolen property.

Wednesday, Nov. 9

  • A riding lawnmower was reportedly on fire in a park at the intersection of Valley Avenue and Laguna Creek Lane at 12:22 p.m.
  • A 48-year-old man was arrested at 5:21 p.m. on a warrant.
  • A 23-year-old woman was arrested at 6:01 p.m. on a warrant.

Thursday, Nov. 10

  • Theft was reported at Denny’s Restaurant on the 6400 block of Owens Drive at 11:44 a.m.  A catalytic converter with four new bolts and gasket worth a total of more than $1,100 were reported missing.
  • A traffic collision involving a pedestrian was reported on the 200 block of Main Street at 11:57 a.m.
  • A traffic collision involving three vehicles was reported on I-580 eastbound near Santa Rita Road at 4:41 p.m.
  • A traffic collision was reported at the intersection of Santa Rita Road and Mohr Avenue at 5:25 p.m.
  • A traffic collision involving a pedestrian was reported at the intersection of Valley Avenue and Greenwood Road at 5:34 p.m.
  • A traffic collision was reported on I-580 westbound near Hopyard Road at 6:07 p.m.

Friday, Nov. 11

  • A white 1993 Wells utility trailer was reported stolen from the 4500 block of Chabot Drive at 7:43 a.m.  The trailer contained major machines and tools, including a Roto Hammer, trench compactor and plate compactor.
  • A traffic collision was reported on I-580 westbound near Tassajara Road at 2:52 p.m.
  • A traffic collision involving an overturned vehicle was reported on I-580 eastbound near Hacienda Drive at 7:45 p.m.
  • A black 1993 four-door Honda Civic was reported stolen from the B Lot of Stoneridge Mall at 8 p.m.

Saturday, Nov. 12

  • A traffic collision involving a rear-ended vehicle was reported on I-680 southbound near Stoneridge Drive at 2:03 a.m.
  • A traffic collision was reported at the intersection of Bernal Avenue and Koll Center Drive at 2:50 p.m.
  • A 35-year-old man was arrested at 5:15 p.m. on suspicion of shoplifting.
  • A white 1999 Acura Integra was reported stolen from the 100 block of Stoneridge Mall Road at 10:30 p.m.

Sunday, Nov. 13

  • A 21-year-old woman was arrested at 1:52 a.m. on a warrant.
  • A traffic collision involving a vehicle going over an embankment was reported on I-680 northbound near Bernal Avenue at 1:11 p.m. 
  • A 22-year-old woman was arrested at 7:43 p.m. on suspicion of driving under the influence.

Monday, Nov. 14

  • A traffic collision was reported on I-680 northbound near Castlewood Drive at 5:48 a.m.
