Dog At the Fair Adopted by United States Treasurer
A pup named Buster has a new home with the Gumataotao Rios family.
A lucky dog named Buster was adopted on July 4 by Rosa Rios, the Treasurer of the United States, during the Puppy Party Palooza at the Alameda County Fair.
Rios, who lives in Alameda County, is the 43rd Treasurer of the United States and was appointed by President Obama. Rios was sworn in in August of 2009, according to the Department of Treasury website.
According to a post on the Alameda County Fair Facebook page on July 4:
Rosa Gumataotao Rios and her Mom and daughter adopted "Buster" from the Puppy Party Palooza yesterday! Rosa's sister adopted a dog from us last year too! The family lives in Alameda County, and she will be traveling with Buster back to Washington D.C. for her job--she was appointed by President Obama as the Treasurer of the United States! (That's her signature on the dollars in your pocket!) We are truly honored!
