The 101st Alameda County Fair opens on Wednesday and is offering a dizzying new ride to thrill adrenaline junkies of all ages.

Vertigo stands 95 feet tall, while spinning 24 people in an 80 foot-wide circle overlooking the Pleasanton Fair Grounds. The two-minute ride was purchased by Butler Amusements in February of 2013, according to ride supverisor Drew Budimir.

The Alameda County Fair runs from June 19 through July 7 and is closed on Mondays. Opening day of the fair will offer $1 admission and $1 rides along with a performance from musical group, Hinder, at the Safeway Ampitheater. For a full list of the fair concert series, click here.

Thrill seekers will love this year's Freestyle Motorcross attraction. The freestyle motocross will be featured every day at the fair. Click here for more information.

Deep fried foodie fiends will be in heaven with a wide array of treats such as deep fried Nutella on a stick and Crispy Creme Donut burgers.
