Help Tri-Valley Kids Record Their First Chorus Album

Do you care about high-quality, affordable musical training for local K-12 students? From its humble beginnings in 1992 with 11 students singing in the living room of artistic director Bee Chow, the international award-winning Cantabella Children’s Chorus has grown to serve more than 250 children rehearsing in Livermore, Pleasanton, and Dublin.

Through a crowd-funding campaign, the non-profit chorus has raised more than $3,900 toward a professional recording of its debut album. The children need your help to complete the effort.

The album will feature classic choral pieces, newly commissioned compositions, and more. From Britten’s Missa Brevis to Paul Shin’s modern new work, Bluesy, and Japanese haiku poetry, it will be an inspiring collection of diverse beauty, harmony and whimsy!

With just a few days left on the campaign, Cantabella is reaching out to music lovers, fans, and friends in the community to raise the remaining $1,400 for its album recording. Donations begin at $1 and range to $500, with acknowledgments and fun rewards at each level. No contribution is too small! Join the effort to help realize the children’s dream of inspiring a larger audience with the joy of their voices.
