Army Solider Returns to Pleasanton to be Reunited with His 2 Young Sons

Army Staff Sergeant Jason Lee Sparrow came to Pleasanton to visit his sons who are being cared for by family while Sparrow and his wife have been deployed in Afghanistan.

The Pleasanton Military Families non-profit group welcomed Army Staff Sergeant Jason Lee Sparrow to Pleasanton as he visited his two young sons. Sparrow is returning from deployment and his wife will be coming home in May.

Sparrow's in-laws, Bruce and Dora Brogden, have been caring for the children while the couple have been deployed.

Jason Lee Sparrow, Army Staff Sergeant,1st Cav 2nd brigade 4-9 Blackhawks Returned from Jalalabad, Afghanistan on March 4 after a 9-month tour and is currently stationed at Fort Hood, TX. This was Jason's second tour to Afghanistan; his first deployment was in 2008.

Jason grew up in Louisville, Kentucky. In 2003, he graduated from Oldham County High School and enlisted in October. His mother, father and sister currently reside in Crestwood, KY.  Jason and his wife, Jessica, met in the service and have two sons, Andrew, 6, and Jackson, who is 4.

Jessica is currently in Afghanistan and is due home in May. Jason is a big Colts Fan, collects and plays the guitar and enjoys fishing. Jason is flying in from Kentucky for three days to visit his boys.
