Foothill High School Gardens and Terra Bella Family Farms will be holding a plant sale Sunday, May 6 from 10:00am to 2:00pm in the Foothill teachers’ parking lot north of the admin building.
Plant varieties include over 15 tomatoes, including heirloom tomatoes, squash and cucumbers. Plants will be just $1.00 each!
Terra Bella Family Farms will also have herbs and perennials. Terra Bella is Pleasanton’s only organic family farm.
All the Foothill Gardens plants were started by seeds and transplanted by the students in Gail Myers' special education science class. Proceeds will go back into the school garden to cover the cost of maintenance and materials. Gail’s class was featured in the Eco Awards: Education Edition article in Diablo Magazine’s April 2012 edition as the Best Special Education Program--read more about it here:
