Patch Picks: Be a Parade Participant and attend Music Theatre

There are some great family experiences happening in the Tri-Valley over the next week. You won't want to miss these chances to join the fun in your community.

Lamplighters Music Theatre presents “The Yeomen of the Guard,” at the , 2400 First St., Livermore.  This romantic comedy is a tale of intrigue and betrayal set in the Tower of London.  A political prisoner framed for a crime he didn’t commit is caught up in catastrophe and hilarity as others try to release him and secure his freedom.  Performances at 8 p.m. Sat., Feb. 19 and 2 p.m. Sun., Feb. 20.  Admission $19.50-$43.  Call the Bankhead Theater Box Office for more information, 925-373-6800 or visit the theater’s website.

In recognition of National Poetry Month, students can submit poems for PoetRadio between today and March 15.  Poets should email 1-3 poems (40 lines max per poem) to Toby Bielawski.  Students whose poems are chosen will be notified in advance (please include current contact info), and will be able to hear a recording of their poem on RadioLasPositas during April!  Contact Toby, tbielawski@laspositascollege.edu or call him at 925-424-1000 to register.
