Pleasanton North Rotary Spaghetti Dinner and Family Carnival

The event is on Sunday, Jan. 13

From the Pleasanton North Rotary:

A pasta dinner with games for the kids and refreshments for the parents will offer Pleasanton families an opportunity to support youth programs as they decompress after a full weekend of NFL playoff football.

As a community service, Pleasanton North Rotary is sponsoring the first PNR Spaghetti Dinner & Family Carnival at the Veterans Memorial Building at 301 Main St., Pleasanton, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 13.

The family-oriented event supports the Rotary club and Pleasanton youth programs including the Interact Club of Foothill High School and Abbie 4-H Club, according to Tina Case, Pleasanton North Rotary president.

“The event will give various local youth groups a chance to raise money by selling desserts and operating Carnival games,” she said.

The fund raiser is also geared to be an inexpensive family outing, Case noted. Admission is $10 per person. Children under 10 will be admitted for free.

Dinner includes a mixed salad with Italian dressing, rigatoni with marinara sauce, toasted garlic bread and fruit punch. Bottled water is $1 and wine will be available by the glass ($5) or bottle ($15).

In addition to carnival games, face painting will be available for kids.

A bonus raffle qualifies every family to win a dinner for eight at Girasole Grill in Pleasanton.

Tickets may be purchased with cash or credit card at the event.

Many thanks to Police/Animal Services. Next order of business is to educate residents not to allowRead More ducks to nest on their property that is not adjacent to natural waterways or canals - it may seem cute, but it's cruel when the mama duck loses babies to cats and storm drains.
