Pleasanton's 2014 Concert in the Park Line-Up

The Pleasanton Downtown Association’s (PDA) popular Concert in the Park series will take place every Friday night from June 6 through August 29, featuring an eclectic mix of music from rock, blues and big band to 50’s and 60’s oldies, soul, and Latin rock.  The free concerts run from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and takes place at Lions Wayside Park on the corner of First Street and Neal Street.

Patrons are encouraged to pick up dinner “to go” from one of Downtown Pleasanton's many restaurants and bring it with them to the park.

While guests are allowed to put out blankets and chairs (at their own risk) in Lions Wayside and Delucchi Parks, they are asked to wait until the morning of the concert to do so.  The use of rocks to hold down blankets is prohibited, as large rocks can damage lawn-mowing equipment.  Also, the use of plastic tarps, which can burn the grass, is not allowed.

The PDA would like to thank Safeway for being the presenting sponsor for the 2014 Concert in the Park season. The Pleasanton Weekly is the media sponsor.

Additionally, each concert is sponsored by a different local business.  (All sponsors are listed below.)

Hope it is NOT dog friendly....dogs pee on the lawn, people sit on the lawn. Hope that is a NO.

Oh please -- can't you people go ANYWHERE without your dogs??? NO, it is NOT dog friendly, leave them home where they belong.

Of course it is dog friendly as long as they are on a leash. As far as peeing, lots of animals pee in that park. Especially all the cats that are allowed to roam free not to mention the squirrels, seagulls and crows that call this city their home. That's why we sit on blankets or chairs. C'mon people. Dogs are family members to many people, and in many cases, more behaved than their human counterparts.

Nice attempt at trying to substantiate allowing your dog to piss on the grass at the concert. It is still WRONG. Dogs are not people. Did I really have to tell you that?

So you don't think any dog ever relieves itself on that grass ever? Let alone any other animal?
