Robert Gibbs Provides Update on Progress — Has Lost 101 Pounds

Morbidly obese Livermore man provides a video update since his appearance on the Dr. Phil television show.

LIVERMORE — Here's an update on the progress of via a YouTube video he recently posted.

Gibbs, a morbidly obese Livermore man, is known for a . The online video went viral and the Dr. Phil television show reached out to help.

Gibbs in this video says he has lost 101 pounds to date, and is now down to 663 pounds.

His sister, Tanya Carpenter, also provided the following update via e-mail to Livermore Patch:

We were able to go a see him last weekend and spend the day with him he is in such a better place he doesn't have to struggle to get up anymore he isn't short of breath he is smiling and happy and is on his way.
