Snow, Schmo: Pleasanton Ridge Flaunts its Green Glory

Judging from the packed overflow parking lot at Pleasanton Ridge Sunday, locals were getting over the lack of snow this weekend just fine.

While most of the Bay Area was nursing a sense of disappointment over the no-show snow, visitors to East Bay Regional Park's Pleasanton Ridge on Sunday seemed to be weathering the gorgeous day just fine.

The parking lot was packed, and the trails were alive with people and critters of all kinds — on hooves, bikes, leashes and with kites and hiking poles in tow.

The emerald hue of the post-rain grasses matched with the ultra clear blue sky was unbeatable.

Snow? What's that? I think we'll survive just fine without it.
