TV30 Premiers Special Produced by TV Summer Camp Students

 Tri-Valley Youth View, a one-hour special TV program produced by middle and high school students who attended the TV30 Summer Camp, is currently airing on TV30. 

For the sixth summer Tri-Valley Community TV is offering three sessions of this unique TV Summer Camp. The first camp took place the week of June 16th, the second session starts August 4thand third session begins August 11th. Fourteen campers from Dublin, Livermore, Pleasanton, and San Ramon participated in the five day camp. This episode of Tri-ValleyYouth View represents the work of students who attended the first camp.

"We always enjoy working with the students and seeing how creative and quick they are,” said Melissa Tench-Stevens, Executive Director of TV30.  “We had a super group of ‘new producers’ in our June camp. We have a couple of spots left in the upcoming August Camps. Guest interviews for those camps include Livermore Mayor John Marchand and Pleasanton Mayor Jerry Thorne.”

The hands-on TV Camp provides an introduction to the technical and talent aspects of studio and field production.  Tri-Valley Youth View was written and produced by students who range in age from 11 – 17 years old.  Students researched and wrote questions, acted as crew for all the production positions and were talent for the program.

Guests on this episode of Tri-Valley Youth View include Alameda County Supervisor Scott Haggerty; Sblend Sblendorio founder of the Pleasanton Jr. Football League; Joe Madden, co-founder of Vmersion Health a company that designs, develops and publishes free peer-to-peer social media software for the specific purpose of improving the lives of those living with diabetes as well as other chronic diseases; California Department of Fish and Game award winner Lori Ambrosino who spoke on gun safety; Janet Lockhart, representing Dublin Partners in Education and their Enrichment Academy; Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Chief Jim Miguel; and Dublin Mayor Tim Sbranti.
