Monday, Oct. 21

  • Harvest Moon Classic Dog Shows 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Alameda County Fairgrounds. Del Valle Dog Club of Livermore and Skyline Dog Fanciers of San Mateo County.

  • “Up-pretty Up A Poem” Workshop participants will reverse-engineer a selection of poems, then “pretty-up” new poems from scratch. 6:30 p.m. Firehouse Arts Center, Pleasanton.
Thursday, Oct. 24
  • ROCKTOBER Concert. Pan Exstacy Reggae Steel Drum Band. Free. 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. near fountain at 6790 Bernal Ave. 
  • Prevent Elder AbuseDublin Library. Speakers from Alameda County's Adult Protective Services will discuss: types of abuse; how to make a report; how to avoid becoming a victim of abuse. 1:30 p.m. to 2:45 p.m.
Friday, Oct. 25
  • Harvest Celebration. 3200 Hopyard Road, Pleasanton. 6 p.m. Fun, games, face painting, prizes, puppet shows, inflatables, music, pie contest, chili cook-off. Hamburger or hotdog, chips, drink- $5. 
Saturday, Oct. 26 
  • HAUNTED HOBBIT TREE! 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. spooky half-mile walk with park rangers. Pre-registration required. 
  • Haunted Depot.  90 First Street, Benicia. The normally mild mannered Southern Pacific Railroad Depot has been mysteriously transformed into a frightful depository of ghosts, goblins and spirits.
  • TS Gun Show. Alameda County Fairgrounds. 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. 
Sunday, Oct. 27
  • Jazz Caliente -Celebrate the library’s 25th anniversary. Eat cake and listen to Jazz Caliente! 2 p.m.
