The Amador Valley High School drama department has been hard at work all fall and has two amazing shows coming up this month. Mark you calendars and come out to enjoy the shows!
Advanced Drama's AIDS BENEFIT, Thursday, October 20th: 7:30pm at Amador's Second Stage (Multi-purpose Room.) This evening of performance pieces brings creative insight and dramatic perspective to the stage. The Advanced Students create and perform in a myriad of performance pieces with themes that resonate with all audiences. There is no admission fee, but all donations go directly to the UCSF AIDS Health Foundation.
THE LARAMIE PROJECT by Moises Kaufman and the Tectonic Theater Group performs October 27th through the 29th and November 3rd through the 5th at Amador Theater; 1155 Santa Rita Road...7:30pm. The cast of Amador's production brings to life the people of Laramie, Wyoming as interviewed after the brutal murder of gay college student Matthew Shepard in October of 1998.
This play allows us to experience a town's unraveling and
poignant healing after this horrible event. On Friday nights, Oct. 28th and Nov. 4th, the Amador Gay Straight Alliance will join the cast and crew for an audience Q&A after the performances. No children under six and no children under 13 without parent.
