Harrington Gallery Showcasing Region's Artistic Talent

Annual art exhibit opens on September 15 and runs through October 20. Pleasanton Art League membership open to all Tri-Valley artists.

The ’s Harrington Gallery will showcase the region’s artistic talent with the annual exhibit of Pleasanton Art League (PAL) (www.pal-art.com) members’ works September 15-October 20, 2012. A reception and awards ceremony take place on Saturday, September 15, 2012, 1:00-3:00 p.m. The Firehouse Arts Center is located at 4444 Railroad Avenue in downtown Pleasanton, Calif.

Works at this visual arts exhibit will represent a wide variety of media including watercolor, oil, pastel, photography as well as two- and three-dimensional pieces. Also on exhibit will be the Pleasanton community drawing, "Alphabet Soup", which contains drawings made out of  initials of children who attended the Pleasanton Farmers Market on July 14. 2012. The drawing will be sold by a silent auction during the PAL exhibit with proceeds benefiting PAL's youth scholarship fund.

Harrington Gallery hours are Wednesday-Friday 12:00 noon-5:00 p.m., Saturday 11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. for one hour prior to each Firehouse Arts Center performance and during intermission. Donations are appreciated.
