will host Billy Joel tribute band, JOEL, (www.joeltheband.com), on Sunday, July 22, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. The Firehouse Arts Center is located at 4444 Railroad Avenue in downtown Pleasanton, Calif.
JOEL performs Billy Joel's timeless repertoire with songs like "Big Shot" and "Only the Good Die Young".
Before JOEL, pianist Kyle Martin was music pastor for a congregation of 2,000 at Sunset Christian Center in Rocklin, Calif. for four years. In 2007, he auditioned for a role in a Broadway musical and was chosen to become Piano Man in Billy Joel's Tony Award-winning rock musical, MOVIN’ OUT.
Martin recently returned from the show’s national tour. He and his group of professional musicians are preparing for their own national tour later this year, with their first CD due to be released soon.
Previously, Martin performed with artists such as Jaci Velasquez, Rachael Lampa, Stacie Orrico, Natalie Grant, Rosey Grier, and many others. He was the singing voice for Bibleman in the 2006-2007 live tour.
Forrest Hartman of the Reno Gazette-Journal wrote, “Kyle Martin isn't just good, he is spectacular!”
