Musical Artists D’Agostino and Reyes to Play at The Firehouse

Friday night concert blends talents and personalities.

The will host acclaimed musicians guitarist Peppino D’Agostino and harpist/violinist Carlos Reyes at a Friday evening concert on Sept. 16 at 8 p.m.

Acclaimed as a scholar, technician, master guitarist and poet, Peppino D’Agostino has collected an abundance of Acoustic Guitar Magazine awards in recent years.

In 2008 alone, His Players’ Choice Awards included Best Acoustic Album of All Time for Every Step of The Way, Guitarist of the Year–Fingerstyle Guitar and Acoustic Guitar of the Year.

Reyes, having mastered the violin and complicated Paraguayan harp as a child, debuted with the Oakland Symphony at age 14. 

He flourished, launching a professional performing and recording career and soon was thrilling thousands of loyal followers with the Jazz-Rock group Merlin as they played throughout the Bay Area.

At the Firehouse, the two artists will blend their charismatic personalities in a unique musical performance that highlights their individual and combined talents.

Tickets are: Adult: $15, $20 and $25 Child: $12; Senior $22. Group discounts are available.

Tickets may be purchased online at www.firehousearts.org up to three hours prior to the performance, by phone at (925) 931-4848, or in person at the Firehouse Arts Center Box Office. 

Box Office hours are Wednesday-Friday, noon-6 p.m.; Saturday 10 a.m. -4 p.m., and for two hours prior to the performance. 

The entrance to free parking is on Spring Street near First Street.
