Woman Found Dead in West Marin May Have Ties to Pleasanton

Marin County Sheriff’s Officials have ID’d a body found Thursday morning along Sir Francis Drake Blvd. as 31-year-old Trisha Hopfe.

Officials are looking for anyone familiar with Hopfe, who has ties to the East Bay and was found by a hiker east of Olema near the intersection of Sir Francis Drake and Platform Bridge Rd. Hopfe may have ties to Pleasanton.

The body was found within the boundary of the Point Reyes National Seashore and under the jurisdiction of the National Park Service, but the park service asked the Marin County Sheriff’s Office to investigate the circumstances leading to the death of the victim.

Sheriff’s detectives are conducting interviews with witnesses to determine a motive, according to the sheriff’s office.

There is no suspect or suspect description at this time, according to the sheriff’s office.
