Lace up your sneakers, leash up your dog, and lead your friends and family to Paws in the Park, a charity dog walk and animal festival on Sunday, September 23, 2012. Join Valley Humane Society (VHS) from 11 am – 3 pm at Amador Valley Community Park in Pleasanton for a fun-filled afternoon to benefit our animal rescue and community programs.

Start off on the right foot by registering for the charity dog walk at pawsinthepark.valleyhumane.org. Walk with or without your dog, form a “dog pack” with family and friends for added inspiration, even participate virtually. Paws in the Park also offers a great teambuilding experience – gather your
coworkers and employees! The team that raises the most money will be treated to a private Yappy Hour with BBQ, beer, and wine for 20 people at VHS, sponsored by Main Street Meat & Fish. Sign up your pack and begin collecting pledges today!

Afterward, entertain the whole family at the animal festival. Watch flyball, Frisbee, and nose work demonstrations or enter one of the pet contests. Browse a wide selection of animal-themed shopping and be sure to grab a tasty bite at one of the gourmet food trucks.

Paws in the Park is presented by the Pleasanton Weekly. Additional sponsorship opportunities and vendor booths are still available; please contact Lori Rice at pawsinthepark@valleyhumane.org for more information.

Envisioning a world in which every animal is loved and every person knows the love of an animal, Valley Humane Society (VHS) creates a brighter future for cats and dogs by encouraging and strengthening the bond between people and pets. and supports and preserves existing pet-guardian relationships. Whether you’d like to adopt an animal, share your passion for pets, or meet like-minded people, VHS is Your Means to a Friend™.
