Viewing and Funeral Services Set for Coach Joselito Gonzaga

Various services — from a vigil and viewing to a funeral and interment — will be held this week and next for the local coach and massage therapist.

This past Monday, Pleasanton lost an involved member of its community: Joselito Gonzaga. 

Most notably, affects hundreds of childrens' lives who he had coached in various league sports over the years and clients he served at as a massage therapist.

for Gonzaga this evening at Bernal Community Park starting at 6:30 p.m.

A Facebook page dedicated to the local coach lists various services — from tonight's vigil and multiple viewings to his funeral and interment. Around 350 guests are expected to attend each one.

A first viewing will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 16 at Duggan's Serra Mortuary in Daly City (500 Westlake Ave.). The second viewing is 5 p.m. Monday, Sept. 17 at  in Pleasanton (4167 First St.). The funeral service will also be held at Graham-Hitch Mortuary the following day, Tuesday, at 11 a.m. An interment service will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 18 at 1 p.m. at Memorial Gardens Cemetery (3873 East Ave.) in Livermore.

At l, Principal Michael Kuhfal said in an email that he and school counselor Tracy Zuehlsdorf are available to speak with students and parents to offer support and suggestions in dealing with his passing.
