Black Friday Still Rules The Holiday Shopping Calendar

The day after Thanksgiving is expected to be the busiest shopping day of the year again

Black Friday is still the gold standard when it comes to shopping.

The website, ShopperTrak, predicts that once again the day after Thanksgiving will rank as the busiest shopping day of the year this holiday season.

If true, it will be the sixth straight year Black Friday has won the retail crown.

ShopperTrak predicts the Saturday before Christmas (Dec. 22) will be the second busiest day.

The third busiest is expected to be Saturday, Dec. 15, followed by Friday, Dec. 21, and Sunday, Dec. 23.

ShopperTrak notes there will be 32 shopping days between Thanksgiving and Christmas -- the greatest number of days possible.

They expect foot traffic to increase by 2.8 percent over last year and retail sales to rise 3.3 percent over 2011.

This is great to hear! By chance, do you know if the man who helped was Roy Fickin?

So glad you got this resolved. When I saw your plea for help, I put in a call to Public Works andRead More they transferred me to Police/Animal Services. They told me that someone had already been dispatched.

Many thanks to Police/Animal Services. Next order of business is to educate residents not to allowRead More ducks to nest on their property that is not adjacent to natural waterways or canals - it may seem cute, but it's cruel when the mama duck loses babies to cats and storm drains.
