In Dublin, Casa Orozco and Amakara are favorites among the locals.

I like Casa Picolo in Livermore, north of 580.

I think of a "romantic" restaurant. as a nice ambiance, and a quiet atmosphere, where you can talk and sip wine with your girl friend or wife,(or vice versa) The Zephyr Grill, although a god and popular restaurant, does not fit the bill on this count. It is one of the noisiest restaurants around. Their acoustics are terrible

We just tried this place, we really liked it. Kind of a hidden gem type place.

I agree Trevor..great food but too darn loud. Sadly, the noise has kept me away.

Our favorite place for consistently awsome food, excellent service and nice ambiance is Star Anise, one door west of Livermore Cinemas. And they pour a liberal glass of Livermore's best wines.
