New Editor at Pleasanton Patch

Autumn Johnson makes the move next door from Dublin Patch to Pleasanton.

is the new editor of Pleasanton Patch, an interactive community news and information website about all things Pleasanton.

Autumn is making a short move to take on her new role: She's been the editor of Dublin Patch for several months and has been freelancing for numerous Patch sites since December.

As a Pleasanton resident, she's a perfect fit for the job, and in the interim she'll continue making sure everything runs smoothly on Dublin Patch as well.

The former Southern California resident got her start in journalism as a freelance writer for San Diego Family magazine and other publications.

Before becoming a writer, Autumn spent seven years as a law enforcement officer in the San Diego area, which prepared her well for a career change to online journalism: She's a sharp investigator, she has great people skills and she loves the fast-paced nature of our virtual 24/7 business model.

Of course, she's only a staff of one, so always feel free to reach out to her by email or on Facebook or Twitter if you think there's something she should know. And if you really want to get involved in your hometown information platform, please consider becoming a blogger.

You can reach Autumn at autumn.johnson@patch.com or via our Facebook page. Her phone number is 925-200-6871. And follow her on Twitter.
