Santa Comes to Main Street

Santa and his helpers stopped by downtown Pleasanton on Saturday as part of the annual "Magical Holiday Evening."

The weather cooperated as Pleasanton kicked off the holidays early in small-town style on Saturday with the arrival of Santa, elves, carolers and sparkling decorations. Children made crafts inside the Museum on Main after chatting with St. Nick. Safeway representatives offered tiny sweet treats to those passing by the museum.

Holiday carols were sung by the Kimball Classics carolers, who strolled up and down Main Street singing their Yuletide tunes for all to enjoy.

Businesses along Main Street had decked their halls for the event.

The annual event, "" was hosted by the Pleasanton Downtown Association and sponsored by Safeway.

Participating businesses included: American Harvest, Apparel & Co., Berry Patch, BICYCLES! Pleasanton, Chianti's Ristorante, Christensen's, Clover Creek, Girlfriends, Glad Tidings, Gourmet Works, Heroes & Villains Comics, Knit This Purl That, Lanvie, Main Street Spirits & Deli, Murphy's Paw, Museum on Main, Passionate Athlete, Prim, Rick's Picks, SavvySeconds, Serenity Stoneworks Fountains & Décor, Sincerely Yours Cards & Gifts, Stacey's Café, The Bracelet Bar @ Serenity, Therapy Stores, Inc., and Towne Center Books.
