Saturday after Thanksgiving is "Small Business Saturday" in Pleasanton

Businesses can get involved and shoppers are encouraged to shop locally

Submitted by the City of Pleasanton:

The City of Pleasanton, Pleasanton Downtown Association, Tri-Valley Convention & Visitors Bureau, along with the Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce and Hacienda Business Park, are excited to work together to encourage our community to not only shop in Pleasanton on November 24th, Small Business Saturday, but consider shopping "small" to support our local businesses this holiday season.  The campaign is also intended to help Pleasanton businesses promote themselves on November 24th.

More than 200 organizations have already joined American Express OPEN, the company’s small business unit, in declaring the Saturday after Thanksgiving as Small Business Saturday.  We encourage merchants to participate in Small Business Saturday by using free business tools to market their stores and shoppers to not only shop in Pleasanton but consider shopping "small" to support our local businesses.

Businesses can get involved in Small Business Saturday with the following three easy steps:

1.      VISIT https://www.facebook.com/SmallBusinessSaturday

2.      LIKE the Facebook page & sign up for email updates

3.      USE the “Free Biz Tools” for Small Businesses—download free signage, banners and other promotional materials including creating your Facebook Business Page or customized website. The first 10,000 American Express® Cardmembers and Merchants that enroll will be eligible to win $100 in free Twitter ads.

Shoppers can find out where to shop small on November 24th by visiting shopsmall.com.   Additional information on Small Business Saturday is available at shopsmall.com.  Help make November 24th the Biggest Day of the Year for small businesses in Pleasanton!
