Located in the southeast corner of Pleasanton, Valley Business Park is a 60 acre business and light industrial park including professional offices and neighborhood commercial activities. Initially built as a manufacturing park 40 years ago, Valley Business Park now serves nearly 150 businesses across a mix of industries ranging from manufacturing to biotech to education to consumer. Current Valley Business Park tenants include businesses such as Diagnostic BioSystems, Good Guys Rod & Custom, Peridot Precision Manufacturing, and TestAmerica Laboratories, among many others.

"With technology playing such a large part in how all industries conduct business these days, a diverse, high-capacity network infrastructure is one of the most, if not the most, critical factors in a company's decision to choose a new property location or expand," said Jack O. "High-speed Internet is the first thing prospective tenants ask about when they're considering Valley Business Park," added Bryan Bowers, President of Valley Business Park.  "By offering additional data and voice services in the business park, we'll be better positioned to attract new companies who understand the importance of reliable network connectivity in today's business landscape as well as to provide more options for current tenants."

"Uniquely positioned as one of the region's premier business locations, Valley Business Park has been a significant contributor to Pleasanton's economy and by improving the network infrastructure available to existing and prospective tenants, it will be able to attract even more jobs and diverse industries to the area," said Jerry Thorne, Mayor of Pleasanton. "By adopting the best technology available today, local businesses will thrive as bandwidth continues to increase in importance for companies of all types."

Businesses in the park will have access to Comcast's comprehensive portfolio of Ethernet options, including Ethernet Dedicated Internet , Ethernet Private Line , Ethernet Virtual Private Line and Ethernet Network Services that provide Internet access, point-to-point, and point-to-multipoint connectivity at bandwidth that scales up to 10 Gbps. Companies will also be able to deploy Comcast Business VoiceEdge , a cloud-based voice and unified communications solution designed to help customers run a faster, more efficient business.

"Our fiber expansion into Pleasanton's Valley Business Park is another example of Comcast's commitment to bringing businesses more options for high-capacity network connectivity that are increasingly the foundation for economic development and business growth," said Ted Girdner, regional vice president of Comcast Business. "We're glad we're able to provide existing tenants with enhanced options that will enable them to scale their bandwidth as technology needs evolve and attract new businesses to the area."

On June 5, Comcast Business will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony at Pleasanton's Valley Business Park, unveiling the network and bringing together the Mayor of Pleasanton, and business and community leaders from across the region.
