Hacienda Helping Hands Partners with East Bay Community Foundation

Business Park’s Charitable Fund Means Help for Tri-Valley Causes

The annual “Hacienda Helping Hands” holiday campaign, through which businesses at Hacienda provide contributions to Tri-Valley nonprofit organizations, is now under the umbrella of the East Bay Community Foundation, one of the largest sources of philanthropic support for the East Bay.     

Hacienda’s charitable fund is one of more than 500 funds at the Foundation held by individuals, families, corporations, nonprofits and other organizations with a total value in excess of $300 million. The Foundation invests the funds and provides grant-making assistance to fund holders.

In the past  five years, the Helping Hands campaign has contributed more  than $100,000 to dozens of nonprofit and community-based organizations  serving the Tri-Valley, including Axis Community Health, Senior Support Program of the Tri-Valley, Somos Comunidad, Tri-Valley Housing Opportunity, Sentinels of Freedom, Grid Alternatives, and Open Heart Kitchen.

“I am pleased and proud of our new partnership with the East Bay Community Foundation, especially because it enables us to continue the good work we started in 2008,” said James Paxson, General Manager of Hacienda.
