Pamela Carter with Association Management Co. LLC in Pleasanton has received the Certified Community Association Manager (CCAM®) designation from the California Association of Community Managers (CACM). The CCAM is the only California-specific certification awarded to professionals working in the community association management field in California. Nearly 300,000 people in Alameda County, or 20 percent of the population, currently live in a homeowners association.
“As HOA management continues to grow in complexity each year with more than 1,200 California laws now governing the industry, manager certification has never been more critical,” said Karen Conlon, president and CEO of CACM. “Managers who have earned the Certified Community Association Manager designation offer HOA boards and homeowners the latest education and training with regard to HOA management. CCAMs have completed nearly 40 hours of class training approved by the DRE, including 16 hours specializing in California law. They are also required to stay current with mandatory re-certification every three years.”
