Shadow Cliffs Water Slides - RFP Issued
As promised, the East Bay Regional Park District engaged an outside firm to
develop an engineer's report followed by a Request For Proposal (RFP) seeking a
qualified concessionaire interested in and capable of renovating and operating
the Shadow Cliffs Water Slides facility.
Jim O'Connor, Assistant General Manager of Operations at East Bay Parks, and his
staff are clearly committed to finding a qualified concessionaire to fund and
manage the capital project and successfully operate and maintain the facility
into the future.
East Bay Parks has performed admirably, and now it's up to private or public
entities to determine if they can develop a business case that supports the
ongoing operations of this facility. Let's hope that this is the case.
