Hundreds Attended Community of Wellness Festival at the Pleasanton Library

The Pleasanton Partnerships in Education Foundation, or PPIE, will use the money raised for wellness grants to public schools.

The Community of Wellness Festival held recently at the Pleasanton Public Library attracted nearly 300 visitors.

Each was challenged to "CHANGE 1 THING" about their own health and wellness, and a wide variety of table sponsors were eager to help them decide how to assess what they might choose to change.

The event was free to the public. Table sponsors donated more than $200 to , and corporate sponsor ACCUSPLIT raised an additional $100 by trading donations for pedometers at the event. PPIE will use the funds for wellness grants to local public schools.

"We were pleased with the response to our 'CHANGE 1 THING' slogan," said W. Ron Sutton, Community of Wellness Founder and CEO of ACCUSPLIT, "and we already have begun planning for next year's festival."
