Famous Food Truck Coming to Fairgrounds

The Gourmet Food Truck Festival will take place at the Alameda County Fairgrounds on Saturday, Sept. 17.

The Nom Nom food truck, made famous on the Food Network's Great Food Truck Race, plus a lineup of others dishing out everything from lobster-topped mac and cheese to authentic Italian Panini will serve the crowds at The Gourmet Food Truck Festival at the .

The event takes place from 4-9 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17.

All are welcome to come enjoy a large variety of food trucks, beer, wine, margaritas, and live music.

Adults pay $2 to get in and children get in for free.

Everyone is encouraged to bring blankets, chairs, and an empty stomach.

The Mobile Gourmet is a shoe-string start-up formed by two women who've spent their careers in the tech industry. 

Their mission: to introduce the joys of the food truck phenomenon to the suburbs, which they do by organizing food truck events throughout the Bay Area. They currently have a weekly lunch at the Hiller Aviation Museum every Wednesday and are planning a number of other public and private food truck events.
