First Wednesday Event Kicks Off with Full Crowd

Pleasanton Downtown Association event featured food, music and beer and wine.

PATCH STAFF — The popular First Wednesday summer street fairs are back, starting May 4 with a Cinco de Mayo theme.

On the first Wednesday of every month between May and September, the city blocks traffic from Main Street so that food tents, beer gardens, clowns and musical acts can fill the downtown area and entertain Pleasanton's masses.

During the First Wednesday events, Main Street will be closed from Del Valle Parkway to Bernal Avenue from 4:30  to 10 p.m.
