Get Out: Home & Garden Show, Dueling Pianos

Here's your roundup of Patch's picks for weekend fun in the Tri-Valley.

It's already Thursday and you still don't have weekend plans?

Don't worry, here's Patch to the rescue with our top five Tri-Valley picks to help you transition from work week to weekend.

You don’t have to cross a bridge for your weekend entertainment. From the Home & Garden Show in Pleasanton to an all-girls comedy show in Dublin, we’ve got you covered.

1.
Where/When: Alameda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday (click link for varying show times).
Why Go: Get ideas for sprucing up your house and garden at the 25th Annual Alameda County Spring Home & Garden Show. Plus, the first 300 paid admissions each day get a free flowering plant.
Pricing: $6 adults; children under 12 free

2. Rewind Fridays
Where/When: ShBoom Night Club in San Ramon on Friday night, with dinner buffet running from 6 - 8 p.m.
Why Go: Maybe you're missing the sold-out concert in San Ramon, but you can still dance down rock-and-roll memory lane. ShBoom plays music from the 70s to today during "Rewind Fridays." Sorry, can't promise they'll play "A Horse with No Name."
Pricing: $15 cover includes buffet dinner.

3.
Where/When: Bunjo's Comedy Lounge in Dublin on Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
Why Go: Looking for a fun "Ladies Night Out"? Catch the comedy act "Chicks with Schtick" featuring Rachel McDowell, winner of the 2010 Killer Laughs Competition. Joining her are female comedians Nina G, Linda Grindell, Tina Allen and Candy Churilla. And yes, guys are more than welcome.
Pricing: $10

4. Dueling Pianos
Where/When: "That Bar" in Danville Thursday, Friday and Saturday night from 8 p.m. to midnight.
Why Go: No need to venture on the other side of the Caldecott Tunnel to enjoy dueling pianos. See what all the fuss is about this weekend, when Guido from Chico and Travis Von Cartier from Los Angeles play customer requests. Should be entertaining--Von Cartier has worked with Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre. Tip: Show up early if you want a table.
Pricing: $No cover charge on Thursday. $5 cover charge on Saturday and Sunday nights.

5.
Where/When: The Bankhead Theater in Livermore on Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m.
Why Go: If you like dark comedy, you'll love this musical production about a political prisoner framed for a crime he didn't commit. Yeomen, performed by the Lamplighters Music Theatre, is considered one of the best by many Gilbert & Sullivan fans.
Pricing: $19.50 - 43, depending on seat selection
