Price: $15 advance/$20 at the door for party admission or $30 for tribute and party
Where/When: Pleasanton Library at 2 p.m. Sunday
Why Go: Find out why Pleasanton was called "the most desperate town in the West" in the 1850s during this entertaining talk about the brothels, gambling halls and bandits who once called Main Street home.
Where/When: Dublin Library, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Saturday; 1 - 5 p.m. Sunday; noon - 3 p.m. Monday
Why Go: Get great deals on used books, music and movies at the Dublin Library's Spring Used Book Sale. Most books are 50 cents to $1 and CDs and DVDs are $2. Or wait until Monday and fill a bag for $4.

4. Mardi Gras: Two Nights of Revelry
