PHOTOS: I Say Tomato; You say, DUCK!

Thousands of people gathered at the Alameda County Fairgrounds to pelt each other with mushy tomatoes Saturday.

Three thousand people, some from as far away Boston and Alaska, gathered at the in Pleasanton on Saturday to pelt each other with 120,000 half-rotten tomatoes.

Organizers say this was the largest tomato battle they've ever had — compared to 2,000 people throwing tomatoes in Copper Mountain, Colo., in June, and a few more than that at an event in Seattle on Sept. 24.

Ah, this was so much fun! Me and my husband went and fully enjoyed ourselves. We left smelling of tomato sauce and looked like the movie, "Carrie." Everyone was having fun and no one left disappointed it seemed.

Glad to hear that, Stephanie! Apparently Bea was pummeled as she was trying to take photos. A total trooper.
