It would be SOOOOOOO nice if P Town became that small farm town again ... Now , all it is , a bunch of pretentious moms and dads trying to one up each other .. Who has the biggest house , biggest car , who has the smartest kid etc etc etc .... As soon as Ruby Hills went in , it was all over ....if I didn't own a business here for the past 15 years , I'd be in Oregon or Washington ....don't get me wrong , Pleasanton is lovely but not always in the right ways....

I agree with you Monika...it nice, but so are a million other places!!!! But those other places have more down to earth people who know how to appreciate the simple things in life!!! I'm not sure I want to continue raising my children in such a nose in the air environment. I will fight to no end to teach my children what it is to work, and work hard for things. No easy handouts on my credit card, I don't care what the other parents feel they have to do to keep their image. You will find this Pleasanton mom with outgrown roots, chipped nail polish, real boobs and no botex. My kids will continue to wash my car,mow the lawn and pick up dog sh#! for pay. Unlike my neighbors whos daughter has implants already, and their BMW detailed at the car wash. Really not impressed with the lifestyle here. Not sure those moving here really know just how overrated it really is. Not really a good place to raise a family if you want normal kids turning into normal adults.

Watch out what you wish for. There are worse traits than keeping your car clean and watering your lawn. You could live in Tracy and have some jackass doing donuts in the middle of your street at 3am. Or have to put up iron screen doors in your neighborhood. Or have to duck and cover every time a car comes up your street. Basically, stop complaining and be happy.
