Pleasanton Show us Your Gangnam Style

The most-watched YouTube video ever is setting trends in Tri-Valley. We want to see your Gangnam Style dance.

You may have heard the song and not known what it is but PSY's Gangnam Style has taken over on YouTube with 827,012,185 views and climbing as of November 24. The song is performed by South Korean rapper PSY. Gangnam Style, which was released in July of 2102, has beat out Justin Bieber's "Baby," which has garnered 803 million views since February.

Locals have been getting into the act imitating the signature "horse-riding dance" at weddings and flash mobs in the Tri-Valley.

In Pleasanton, during a wedding in September, wedding-goers broke out in the horse-riding dance as part of the celebration and in Dublin, shoppers at the Grafton Street shopping center busted out a flash-mob scene on Oct. 27.

Livermore local Brent Salaria and a friend showed their Gangnam Style in a parking lot on August 26.

According to Yelp, Roppongi Sushi in Livermore even has a menu item named after the song.

Elyrics.net, translates the lyrics and says the song is about those attributes in a girl that all men are searching for and while the guy promotes himself as the one who "one-shots his coffee" while it is still hot. Click here for the full lyrics.

Fans can download the song on itunes.

This is great to hear! By chance, do you know if the man who helped was Roy Fickin?

So glad you got this resolved. When I saw your plea for help, I put in a call to Public Works andRead More they transferred me to Police/Animal Services. They told me that someone had already been dispatched.

Many thanks to Police/Animal Services. Next order of business is to educate residents not to allowRead More ducks to nest on their property that is not adjacent to natural waterways or canals - it may seem cute, but it's cruel when the mama duck loses babies to cats and storm drains.
