Hundreds Lose Power Overnight

A power outage near Raley's about 338 customers are affected by the outage.

The power has been out for about 338 customers since around 1:30 a.m. according to the PG&E website. However, a Patch reader from the area near emailed Patch reporting the outage around 11:20 p.m.

An employee at Raley's said the power had just come on at the grocery store around 6:00 a.m. and that a customer had gone through the check-out line to buy ice because the customer said she needed to keep items in the fridge cold due to the power outage.

The cause of the outage is not yet known and the PG&E outage map is showing the repair is still "awaiting evaluation" and does not have a time listed for the power to be restored.

Many thanks to Police/Animal Services. Next order of business is to educate residents not to allowRead More ducks to nest on their property that is not adjacent to natural waterways or canals - it may seem cute, but it's cruel when the mama duck loses babies to cats and storm drains.
