Today's Fair, June 29: Abbacadabra, 99¢ Wacky Wednesdays

Hours: 11 a.m.-10 p.m.

Today's promotion: 99-cent Wacky Wednesdays. (Admission to the fair is 99 cents before 3 p.m. After that, it's $3).

Concert: Abbacadabra (the ultimate ABBA concert), 6 and 8 p.m., Amphitheater

Highlights: Talent competition, noon-7 p.m., Bandstand Stage

Flower show, 2 p.m.-4 p.m. Agriculture Building

Let's Pretend Wild West Show, 2-2:30 p.m., Ag Venture Park

Fables of the West, 2-7 p.m. Grounds

Roller Derby Show, 4-5 p.m., BBQ Country Corral

The Ritmo Caliente Dancers, 6-6:30 p.m. Family Fun Stage

Wine Awards Reception, 6-8 p.m., Wine and Beer Garden

Talent Competition Show of Champions,  7-8 p.m., Bandstand Stage

At the race track: Horses run from 1:15 to 5:45 p.m. 

Weather: High - 75, Low - 54

Getting there:

  • General parking at the fairgrounds, $8, preferred parking (Gate 8), $15
  • BART shuttle available from the Dublin/Pleasanton station
  • Catch a Wheels Route 8 bus, which has a drop-off at the fair on Pleasanton Avenue. BART riders go right upon exiting the fair gate to get to the Route 8 bus bay.
