Emmy Award winning evening TV news anchor and reporter, Bay Area native Juliette Goodrich, will be the featured speaker at the Saturday, January 21, meeting of the Livermore-Pleasanton-Dublin Branch of the American Association of University Women. The meeting, which is free and open to the public, will be held at Lynnewood Methodist Church.
Ms. Goodrich started her career with Channel 30 in Pleasanton. She has won Emmys for her work in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009. Ms. Goodrich has also written two children's books, "The Little Light Shines Bright", about the world's longest burning light bulb at Fire Station 6 in Livermore, and "The Train of Lights", about the annual Niles Canyon Train Event in Sunol, CA. Proceeds from the books benefit local reading and writing programs and the Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation.
