Lockhart, who says Christmas can be a difficult time for people, told Patch, via email:

"There is something unique about this film that really touches people’s hearts and to have been a part of bringing that to life is a wonderful feeling. While I am still quite young to be thinking about “legacy," it is also very satisfying to know that my name will forever be attached to this movie and hope that future generations will be touched by the message of the movie."

Lockhart says he genuinely appreciates people’s willingness to help "David conquer Goliath" when it comes to this independent film.

The film is set in an English village called "Gladbury" in the late 1800s. Scottish singer Susan Boyle, best known as a contestant on Britain's Got Talent in 2009, debuts in the film. The star-studded cast includes: Hans Matheson (Clash of the Titans, Sherlock Holmes), Samantha Barks (Les Miserables), Lesley Manville (Disney's A Christmas Carol), and Sylvester McCoy (The Hobbit Trilogy, Doctor Who).

The movie is directed by John Stephenson and produced by EchoLight Studios, best known for its faith-based films. Former U.S. senator and presidential candidate Rick Santorum is the CEO of EchoLight Studios.

"It is a great family movie I hope will be one of the classic shows at Christmas time," Janet Lockhart told Patch.

The family-friendly movie will be out nationwide, including the Dublin Regal Hacienda Crossings Theater, on Nov. 22.
