Cooling Center Open for Pleasanton Residents

The Pleasanton Senior Center will be open from 12:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday through Saturday for those seeking relief from the heat.

The will activate its public Cooling Center for those seeking relief from high temperatures as temperatures rise past the century mark this Thursday through Saturday. The at 5353 Sunol Boulevard is the primary Cooling Center location and will be open from noon until 8:00 p.m. during this Cooling Center designation period on Thursday, August 9, through Saturday, August 11, 2012.

Visitors will enjoy air conditioned facilities and may be served water and offered games and or/television viewing at the Senior Center.

Free transportation will be provided through Pleasanton Paratransit Services to the designated Cooling Center location for those ages 60 and older or ADA qualified. Call (925) 931-5365 to arrange a ride and advise the dispatcher that you would like a ride to the Cooling Center.
