Fire Department Begins Toys For Tots Collection Drive

Last year, the department collected 20,000 toys, which were distributed in the Tri-Valley area.

The Local 1974 is collecting toys for Toys For Tots to bring the spirit of the holidays to children of families in need.

Last year, the department collected and distributed 20,000 toys, and hopes to reach this goal for this holiday season.

This season is especially critical because, with the current economic times, several charitable organizations who have helped in the past are no longer able to because of funding shortages.

The toys collected will be donated to Tri-Valley children through the TriValley Haven. Beginning today, toy donations can be dropped off at any of the 10 LPFD Fire Stations within Pleasanton and Livermore at any time until Dec. 9.

So glad you got this resolved. When I saw your plea for help, I put in a call to Public Works andRead More they transferred me to Police/Animal Services. They told me that someone had already been dispatched.

Many thanks to Police/Animal Services. Next order of business is to educate residents not to allowRead More ducks to nest on their property that is not adjacent to natural waterways or canals - it may seem cute, but it's cruel when the mama duck loses babies to cats and storm drains.
