Winds ravaged the Bay Area on Friday and on through the weekend, as sheets of rain fell on and off, making being out and about rather difficult — or if not difficult, at least unpleasant.

Throughout town, branches fell and streets were especially wet as many stayed inside to watch the San Francisco 49ers battle the New York Giants on Sunday.

Joanne Hall, city of Pleasanton spokesperson, said there were no weather-related problems over the weekend.

San Francisco and Oakland recorded more than 2.5 inches of rain since Thursday, but the region is still at about half of where it should be this time of year, according to the National Weather Service.

Although there may be some rainfall today, the weather service is predicting sunny skies with temperatures in the high 50s and low 60s through the rest of the week.
