Pleasanton Welcomes 20 Year Military Veteran

After celebrating his 20 year anniversary of military service, Captain Robert Huhn came to Pleasanton on May 8. Huhn was welcomed with a motor escort, Pleasanton's local police, fire, and military veterans, along with family and friends.
Pleasanton Mayor Jerry Thorne issued a letter of commendation to Huhn for his long-time service to the nation.

Pat Frizzell of the Pleasanton Military Families told Patch, via email that Huhn is a good friend of a Pleasanton woman in the Air National Guard.

Frizzell wrote:

"We did homecomings for her and her Air Force brother. Captain Huhn had been in the service 20 years and never had a homecoming. She asked if she brought him to Pleasanton for a visit if we could do a homecoming for him. Of course, we said yes!"
