A new interfaith group called Interfaith Interconnect will host an event, Three Weddings and a Reception on June 10.
The group includes a number of clergy and lay people from the Christian, Jewish and Muslim traditions (so far - there are plans to expand to include numerous other faiths soon!).
One couple each from the Protestant, Reform Jewish and Muslim faiths will have a mock wedding, performed by real clergy, so people can experience the differences and similarities of weddings across these three faiths.
Afterward, there will be a reception with foods typical at those weddings. This event is open to everyone. This is a FREE event, though organizers do request that people make a small donation or bring a platter of food appropriate for a wedding.
It will take place 7 - 9 p.m., Sunday, June 10 at the Veteran’s Auditorium Building, 522 South L Street in Livermore.
Organizers are asking for RSVPs. (See attached flyer).
