Pleasanton Police Department 2011 Annual Report

This article will contain statistics as compiled by the Pleasanton Police Department for the year ending 2011. Next January 2013, the Pleasanton Police Department will release the annual report for year ending 2012.

I will start with the stats for Part I crimes for adult and juvenile arrests in Pleasanton for years 2007 through 2011. Part I crimes are defined as: homicide, rape, aggravated assault, burglary, theft/larceny, motor vehicle theft and arson.

I have a problem with people coming here to engage in activity which causes the Pleasanton Police Department to arrest them. In the process, Pleasanton residents and Pleasanton commercial establishments are victims.

These people getting arrested by the Pleasanton Police Department are not contributing to Pleasanton sales tax base. They are in fact spending Pleasanton tax payer money when they come here to engage in crime and get arrested.
